The first click won't be a mine. The numbers in the grid show how many mines are adjacent. The aim of the game is to uncover all the mines. If you hit a mine, you lose. Click on the emoji to start again.
Choose one or two and stick with it until the end. You can choose to use magic to speed up the mine sweeping but with ads, change your nickname to participate in the rankings. It's easiest to get into the top 100 on Mondays, getting harder as the week goes on, and the most difficult on Sundays.
Mouse (on Computer): Right-click on the square to mark it as a mine with a flag, then click to unmark. When the number of marked mines matches the count, click the number to reveal the surrounding safe area (you can use the left and right keys). Left-click on an unmarked square to reveal it directly.
